The Future Networks PEPR

In the dynamic of the national ‘France Relance’ recovery plan, 5G, 6G and future telecommunications networks have been identified as a target market with high growth potential for which France has renowned skills and expertise. On July 6th 2021, the government launched a dedicated acceleration strategy to make 5G a tool for industrial competitiveness and put France back at the forefront of work on future network technologies. In the framework of this strategy, the government opted to support R&D through a Priority Research Programme and Equipment (PEPR) on 5G, 6G and Networks of the Future. CEA, CNRS and IMT were asked to design and lead this PEPR.
