International School 2025 on 6G Technologies: A Look Back at a Rich and Inspiring Event

From November 12 to 14, the International School 2025 on 6G Technologies brought together more than 85 participants at Inria, on the Beaulieu campus of the University of Rennes.
Organized as part of the RIS3 project by IETR, IRISA, and the PEPR Réseaux du Futur, this autumn school offered young researchers a unique opportunity to strengthen their knowledge of next-generation communication systems.
👩🔬 Strong participation from early-career researchers
Nearly 80% of attendees were PhD students from French and international laboratories, reflecting the growing interest and momentum in the scientific community around future communication networks.
🌐 A program centered on xG access technologies
The event brought together a panel of internationally renowned European scientists who presented key topics shaping future networks, including:
- multi-antenna communications and reconfigurable intelligent surfaces,
- theoretical and practical aspects of Joint Communication & Sensing,
- terahertz-band communications,
- the emerging paradigm of semantic communications
🖼️ Two poster sessions to foster discussion
Two poster sessions allowed participants to present their research and exchange with peers, speakers, and organizers, encouraging in-depth discussions and potential collaborations.
